Since 1975
Adolf Dulan's history in the food industry is nothing short of phenomenal. Because of his perseverance in the business, Adolf and his son, Greg Dulan, have provided more than 1000 part-time and full-time jobs in the local community since the inception of the first business, Hamburger City in 1975.

During the year of 2000, after much research, Adolf discovered that the new trend in the restaurant business is take-out, cafeteria style service. This included minimum seating and faster customer service. In early 2001, Adolf was able to take his research and turn his vision into value by starting a small cafeteria style "Soul Food Kitchen". Because of the reduced overhead, he is able to serve larger portions at a more reasonable price. This is Adolf's way of giving something back to his customers.

Adolf grew up on a farm in Oklahoma where he was always surrounded by loving family. He made it a point to pass down that experience to his own children. Therefore, all five of his children grew up working in the family restaurants. The Dulan family now operates a chain of three restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area. Adolf's two daughters, Tiffany and Danielle, operate Aunt Kizzy's Back Porch in Marina Del Rey and his son Greg Dulan operates Dulan's Catering in Los Angeles. Adolf's other two sons, Jeff Dulan and Terry Dulan are presently researching plans and ideas for opening additional restaurants to add to the Dulan empire.

*Adolf is the recipient of valuable support in the business from his beautiful girlfriend, Dorothy Williams. Dorothy is also in the planning stages of opening her own restaurant in the near future.
